Reply:syndream is wrong, if u want a router that has a speed more than 54mbps then get a wireless N router they have speeds up to 300mbps!!!! its the new wireless N technology its as good as being wired...
Reply:There are 108 megabit. I have a linksys 108 thats pretty fast. They are pretty standard now, not really much more than the 54 megabit.
Reply:Unless you intend to do lots of things on your local LAN (files sharing, gaming), or have a really large house and need a lot of wireless coverage, YOU WILL BE WASTING YOUR MONEY! No matter how fast your traffic moves on your local LAN, it will go no faster to the internet than your cable or DSL connection. Even the new high speed stuff is no more than 45Mb, and that cost big bucks.





Wireless G is sufficient for most homes and situations.
