My internet is working at all, but the yellow ethernet cable prevents my laptop from being mobile.
Is there anyway I can move the ethernet cable but still have internet?

You will need a wireless connection of some kind. Find out if your DSL or cable box has a wireless built in. If not, you will need to get a wireless router to act as a base station. Also, find out if your laptop already has wireless built in, or get a wireless card to plug into the slot.
