Help with netgear router.?

Wpn824 Internet and port light blink really fast and sometimes internet doesn't go through.





What do I need to do?

Most problems with routers can be solved by power cycling the router by pulling the power on it and waiting one minute before plugging it back in.





If that does not solve the issue, the next problem could be a bad network card on the computer. (Assuming you are connecting via a Ethernet cable and not wirelessly.) To test this try and have a friend plug into the router without the existing computer plugged in. Do they have problems connecting to the internet? If so then it is definately the router. If the router is under one year old, take it back to the place of purchase and have it replaced under the manufacturer's warranty. If you don't have your receipt still, most places of business can look them up if you have the credit card or time and date of purchase.





If the other computer can connect just fine to the internet then you know it's something wrong with your computer. First thing to try would be replacing the network card. If that's not it, it's possible there could be a virus on the computer. Good luck!
