How do I run multiple copies of this game on the same computer? PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

Ok. I'm a game programmer and I don't know much about networking yet.





This MMO I play only allows you to have one copy of it running per computer.





I want to know a way to make it think I'm on multiple computers so I can play 2 characters at the same time.





I think it has something to do with needing multiple IP's.

if the game you are using requires the internet and has a serial key they only let you run one copy for a reason my friend

It could be built in to the software. Have you considered running the game on multiple virtual machines.
Reply:It may be that it binds via udp (as many games do). I am sure someone will correct me, but when I was programming in UDP (user datagram protocol) you bind to specific ports.. I could not write a program that would bind twice to the same port.. For example, if I binded to port 443 on the computer i was working on, i couldn't bind a second time, an exception would occur. That may be why it is not allowing you, but it wouldn't be at the mercy of the game but rather the network.
