XBOX Portforwarding?

I have a BTHomeHub ive put the ports for the xbox on my router and put my ip on my computer as automatic it says Assigned by DHCP how can i get my Ip Subnet and Gateway so it says automaticly configured and ive restore defaults on my router and when i put it to manual the ports wont work on the xbox

It should automatically acquire an IP address and DNS server by default. However for port forwarding I think you need to set up static ones unlike what you have done. Where did you find that it should all be automatic? Research this more first as it is a pain to troubleshoot especially without internet access.





The router should be UPnP which means it configures itself on its own. Hmm.
