Wireless routers?

if i have a wireless router and im not connected to the net but my neighbour is, will i be able to pick up the internet connection with my router from her internet..........if you know what i mean,,,,,,,,,,,,, i dont want to do it as ive already got internet,,,obviously but can it be done.

Reply:You would not need a wireless router to pick up your neighbours signal or you would need is a wireless laptop/network card/dongle and you could connect if it is insecure other you would need the network key from your neighbour!

Reply:Wireless router passcodes are usually 10-digit keys. My dad's is just 10 2's (none of you live around me so I don't care lol). So check and see if the key is just 10 of the same digit..








...or it most likely could be your neighbor's 10-digit phone number.
Reply:Most routers require the internet lead to be plugged into the back.


However, you can connect to your neighbour just through your computer.


Be aware that if you ever do use their internet you may be pushing them past their download limit and incurring extra cost upon them.
