Need help with my wireless network?
No, except if you enable it. But there is no link between the router and the desktop computer. You only use your desktop to configure the router. When you are browsing internet on your laptop, the data goes like this :

Internet ----%26gt; Modem ----%26gt; Router ----%26gt; Laptop

You can safely browse pron lol

It really depends on your router. If it is a simple routing device, nobody can trace your history. Otherwise it is very easy to get your history log.

Nobody can browse your laptop unless you have enabled file sharing for Everyone.
Reply:That is a two part question:

1. Can the desktop see files on your laptop? Yes, as the previous post mentioned.. but only if you disabled that security feature on your laptop

2. Can the desktop see your browsing history? Again Yes, but in the case of most home users this is not probable unless the desktop user downloaded or purchased a program that can "cache" or see what goes through the router. Most businesses use this functionality but the information is saved on a server somewhere in the LAN, but can it be done at home..... yes if the person that controls the system is motivated enough :-) This will require a proxy server or similar.
Reply:From his router's user guide:

The Administration Tab - Log

When you click the Administration tab, you will see the Log screen. The Log screen provides you with options for

system, Firewall, WAN Connection, and New Traffic logs of all incoming and outgoing URLs or IP addresses for

your Internet connection. To enable the Router鈥檚 log function, click the Log button you want to enable and view

the log.

Show New Connection Log.

You can view outgoing and incoming traffic logs.

THE ANSWER IS YES. Your router logs it.
