1. try changing the channel

logjn to the router (let me know if you cant)

go to wireless settings

change Chanel in drop down box to another number, i would any number below 12

2. whilst in the router's wireless settings

select the "WPA-PSK (Wi-Fi Protected Access Pre-Shared Key)" option button

in the text box next to the words "Network Key (8 ~ 63 characters) " put your new key

hit apply

Hope that helps

If it's kicking you off every 5 - 10 mins it could be a number of things. Some netgear routers kick you off when they lose a network connection, and so is your network light on the router still active when it kicks you off? If so then it could be a Virgin issue, they could have connected you at too high a speed or something.

If the network light on the router is still active and it's kicking you off then it could be one of two things, the driver on your netowork card on your laptop or else something blocking the signal. If there is a TV, metal object or electronic equipement between the router and your laptop this could block the signal. If you put the wireless router right next to the laptop and see if that works fine then you will know it's something blocking it.

If you want to change the wep / wap passwords and connections then go to the router in IE ( if you don't know how to then go to ' Network Connections ' click on your wireless network connection and in the second tab called ' Support ' it should have a default gateway, for example 10.1.10.101, if you then enter this into your internet browser then you should be able to connect to your router and from here you can change the wireless security types.

I hope this helps.
