You generally won't be able to connect two routers together as each router is a gateway. Perhaps you should do some research about hi-gain antennas and wireless network access points / repeaters.
I suppose though, it all depends on what the application is of the network and what you are trying to do.

If you wish to link two LANS together that are separated by a distances over 100 meters, there are ways to do it (three ways are a VPN with both LANs terminated by a router that hosts the VPN, another is a point to point link from your phone company, a third is a wireless point to point). The best for you depends upon many factors.
